Alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, Samsung unveiled a slightly refreshed version of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Compared to last year's model, the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) has just two changes. It gets a new color option and more storage space.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) has the same design and specifications as the original Galaxy Watch Ultra expect its storage space, which is now 64GB. That is double that of last year's model. It also gets a new color: Titanium Blue.
It has a 47mm Grade 4 titanium case, a 1.47-inch Super AMOLED display with 3,000 nits peak brightness, and sapphire crystal glass protection for the screen. It has IP68 rating for dust and water resistance (up to 100m/10ATM for 10 minutes) and a MIL-STD-810H-compliant design for shock resistance.
The new Galaxy Watch Ultra uses the same 3nm Exynos W1000 chip and 2GB RAM. It has dual-frequency GPS (L1 + L5), Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, a loudspeaker, and a microphone. It is powered by a 590mAh battery and supports 10W fast wireless charging.
It has Samsung's latest BioActive Sensor, which debuted last year. It can measure heart rate, blood oxygen, bloor pressure, skin temperature, body composition, and ECG. It can also measure Antioxidant Index and Vascular Load. New One UI 8 Watch features like Bedtime Guidance and Running Coach are also supported by the new Galaxy Watch Ultra.
The refreshed Galaxy Watch Ultra Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch software out of the box, and you can read its features here. Samsung has promised to offer for major OS updates to the smartwatch.
Samsung hasn't dropped its price, and it still retails for €699. It comes in just one variant, which has cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. It will go on pre-order today and reach store shelves in select markets starting July 29.
