Yesterday, Samsung released the stable version of One UI 8 Watch (Wear OS 6) to the Galaxy Watch 7. However, the brand had made the update available only in its home country, South Korea. Now, the company is rolling it out in the US as well.
The update is live for smartwatch's both dial sizes, 40mm and 44mm, featuring cellular connectivity, which have model numbers SM-L305 and SM-L315, running on Verizon's network. The update carries firmware version L3xxUSQU1BYI4.
To update your Galaxy Watch 7 with One UI 8 Watch, open the Wearables app on your Android phone, and go to Settings > Watch software update > Download and install. We expect Samsung to start rolling it out to the non-cellular variants of the watch, as we as in other regions, in the next few days. One UI 8 Watch brings a new user interface, new features, and enhanced health tracking capabilities.
Starting with the new UI, it offers a new charging animation and an improved notifications view. As for new features, you get Now Bar, which can show status on ongoing activities, multi-widget Tiles pages, personalized apps screen, and better watch face recommendations. For health, you get Antioxidant Index, Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach, and Vascular Load. You can watch them in action in our video below.
