Samsung has released security updates to the Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, Galaxy Watch 7, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra in the US.

Samsung is rolling out software updates for the Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, Galaxy Watch 7, and Galaxy Watch Ultra. The new firmware for the first two smartwatches brings the March 2025 security patch, and that for the last two devices offers the May 2025 security patch (via Droid Life).
The tech giant has made the updates available only for the cellular variants of these smartwatches for the US running on Verizon’s network (1, 2, 3, 4), which have model numbers SM-R905U/SMR915U, SM-R925U, SM-L305U/SM-L315U, and SM-L705U. Below is the firmware version of the update for each wearable.
You can check out the security issues the March 2025 security patch fixes here and the ones that the May 2025 security patch fixes here. We expect the brand to release the update to other variants of these smartwatches and in other regions in the next few days.
To get the update, on your smartphone, open the Galaxy Wearable app and go to Watch Settings » Watch software update » Download and install. On a related note, Samsung is also developing Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch, and it may arrive soon.
