Earlier this month, Samsung ended the One UI 8 Watch (Wear OS 6) beta program for the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, which suggested that the brand will soon release the stable version of the software to the two wearables. Well, it is finally here.
Samsung is rolling out a software update to the Galaxy Watch 5 series. It offers the stable version of One UI 8 Watch to both smartwatches in the lineup. Currently, the brand seems to be rolling out the update to the cellular variants of the wearables in the US.
Samsung might also be rolling it out to non-cellular variants of the two smartwatches and in other regions as we speak. However, we don’t have a confirmation on that. To check if the brand has released the update for your smartwatch and in your region, open the Wearable app, and go to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install.
You can check out the complete One UI 8 Watch changelog here. Along with it, the update also offers the November 2025 security patch, which fixes 25 security issues. Along with the Galaxy Watch 5, if you have the Galaxy S25, you should know that Samsung has opened the One UI 8.5 beta program for it. You can check out the features it offers in our video below.
