Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series is just weeks from its Unpacked debut, and the tech world is buzzing. Everyone’s curious: how will the new flagships top last year’s models? Leaks suggest one area — the battery — is set for a few upgrades.
To be fair, early Galaxy S26 rumors about battery specs were somewhat conflicting or at least unclear. Now, leaks are starting to line up, giving a more reliable glimpse at what’s coming.
Of course, nothing is official until it is, but the latest bits of information come from numerous reliable sources. Here's how the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra might stack up against the S25 series in terms of battery specs, based on the latest and most consistent leaks and rumors.
Wireless charging
Update: A new leak suggests the base and Plus models will stick with 15W wireless charging, so the specs above may not be accurate. We'll be able to confirm once the phones are announced.
Wired charging
Battery capacity
The Galaxy S26 series was also rumored to boast one feature Apple fans have had for years. Earlier rumors hinted that the S26 series could get Qi2 magnets for the first time.
Unfortunately, if you were hoping for native Qi2 compatibility, recent leaks suggest that’s not happening, though the phones will still work with magnetic cases, same as the S25 trio.
As for reverse wireless charging, early rumors said this feature might have been scrapped to make room for Qi2 magnets. But since those are likely missing, reverse wireless charging for the S26 series may still exist.
We’ll know for sure when Samsung unveils the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra later this month. We will attend Unpacked and bring you all the info you need, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, if you want to review what else might be coming next, feel free to read more about the Galaxy S26 series and everything that's surfaced so far.
