Samsung launched the first Galaxy S Ultra series phone in 2020, the Galaxy S20 Ultra. It had a 5,000mAh battery. Since then, people have been asking and expecting the brand to offer newer models in the lineup with larger batteries and the company has launched every new device in the series with the same 5,000mAh battery capacity. Sadly, that’s going to be the case with Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra as well.
On X, a popular tipster, @UniverseIce, claims that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 5,000mAh battery.
While that could be disappointing to hear for many people, it is not a bad thing. Take the Galaxy S25 Ultra with its 5,000mAh battery for example. It offers one of the best battery backups in the segment, despite having a smaller battery than most of its rivals. The end result is what matters and Samsung is still at the forefront of offering the best battery backups. Considering that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a more efficient chipset, it should offer an even better battery life. Plus, it is not like Samsung isn’t offering any upgrades in the battery department.
Yesterday, the same tipster claimed that Samsung will the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a charging speed of more than 45W. It will be the first time the South Korean tech giant will be bumping up the charging speed on the Galaxy S Ultra series. In fact, with the upgrade, it could be the Samsung phone with the fastest charging speed because no phone from the brand exceeds the 45W mark.
