Several past rumors claimed that Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S26 series with magnets for Qi2 wireless charging. This would have brought the devices on par with iPhones and Pixel 10 series phones. However, a new leak could disappoint those hoping to buy a Samsung phone with built-in magnets for use without additional accessories.

Tipster @UniverseIce claims that the Galaxy S26 Ultra lacks built-in magnets and says this has been confirmed through multiple insider sources. While the tipster did not reveal whether this is also true for the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+, those models will likely lack built-in magnets for automatic alignment with Qi2 accessories such as wireless charging pucks, stands, car mounts, and wallets.

Samsung has reportedly improved wireless charging speeds with the Galaxy S26 series. Previous reports indicate that the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ may support up to 20W wireless charging, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra could reach up to 25W. This increase should significantly reduce wireless charging times.

The Galaxy S26 is rumored to feature a 4,300mAh battery, while the Galaxy S26+ may include a 4,900mAh battery. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to have a 5,000mAh battery and support up to 60W wired charging.

Samsung is also launching a Qi2.2 wireless charging puck and first-party Qi2 Ready cases for the Galaxy S26 series. You can read more about Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra features, specifications, and pricing by clicking here.
