Early reports about Samsung’s next lineup of non-foldable flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S26 series, suggested that the brand could launch it at a higher price than its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 series, owing to rising phone component prices, especially those of memory chips.
However, recent reports about it suggest that the company will launch the upcoming models at a price similar to the current ones. That tech giant will maintain similar prices by absorbing the higher manufacturing costs, resulting in lower profits. Well, now we have another report about it.
A Greek publication, Techmaniacs, claims that they have reached out to their sources in the industry about Galaxy S26 series prices, enquiring about the credibility of the reports claiming that Samsung will launch it at a higher price than the Galaxy S25 lineup. According to them, those reports are not valid.
They claim that the brand will offer the Galaxy S26 Ultra at a price similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, as it doesn’t want to bring more expensive devices to the market. Reportedly, there will be small fluctuations in prices, such as the prices of a few memory and storage configurations going up slightly, and those of the others going down by a bit. However, the average selling price across variants will remain the same.
As for the Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26+, the brand hasn't finalised their pricing yet. However, the company is trying to launch them at the same price as their predecessors. Reportedly, there will be slight fluctuations in their prices too, but the average price will remain the same.
Considering that the report is from a Greek publication, the information may be applicable to that region. Samsung may take a different pricing strategy for the Galaxy S26 for other regions. In other words, nothing is clear about the Galaxy S26 series price yet. Hopefully, we will learn more in the near future.
