Samsung typically launches Galaxy S series smartphones in January or February each year. However, this year may be different, as the launch of the Galaxy S26 series appears to have been delayed. The Galaxy S26 announcement date has now been revealed through a leaked Samsung teaser.

Tipster Evan Blass has shared an image that appears to be a teaser for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. While it does not explicitly mention the Galaxy S26, it references Galaxy Unpacked and lists February 25, 2026. This strongly suggests that the event is related to the launch of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, and it aligns with an earlier report that pointed to the same date.

For reference, the Galaxy S25 series was announced on January 22, 2025. Compared to that timeline, Samsung appears to be announcing the Galaxy S26 series more than a month later. The phones in the lineup could go on sale on March 11, 2026 in select markets.

Reports suggest that Samsung initially planned to launch the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, following weak sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge last year, the company is said to have revised its strategy. As a result, the Galaxy S26 Edge has reportedly been replaced by the Galaxy S26+.
