This is because, according to newly leaked information (via @ashanagarwal24), the Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen no longer has Bluetooth connectivity.
Both Air Actions and the option to use the S Pen button as a remote shutter clicker for the Galaxy phone's camera work through Bluetooth. If the S Pen abandons Bluetooth connectivity, it's logical to assume that Air Actions and the remote camera button functionality will also be removed.
The other possibility is that the Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen could adopt a different wireless technology, such as UWB, and retain Air Actions and the remote functionality. At least that would be an upgrade, as UWB would allow other interesting features to be implemented — such as precise S Pen location tracking in SmartThings Find.
However, at the moment, the possibility of an S Pen upgrade for the Galaxy S25 Ultra looks slim. It seems more likely that Samsung may have decided to strip some features off the Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen, as it may have deemed them unpopular enough to go on the chopping block.
We'll find out more soon enough. Samsung will announce the Galaxy S25 lineup at Unpacked on January 22. Prospective buyers can already make reservations for the upcoming devices and receive early adopter bonuses.
