Galaxy S25 Ultra is cheaper than the S24 Ultra, with or without trade-in

The Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Ultra cost the same, technically speaking. But oddly enough, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is less expensive than the 2024 model thanks to ongoing deals and improved trade-in offers.

If you dislike the Galaxy S25 Ultra for whatever reasons — maybe the lack of S Pen Air Actions — you can now buy the Galaxy S24 Ultra with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage for the full launch prices of $1,299, $1,499, and $1659, respectively. Trade-in values go as high as $750.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has the exact same launch prices, except for the fact that it's paired with a few attractive deals that make it cheaper, including:

• $100 Samsung Credit when you buy the 256GB Galaxy S25 Ultra.
• The 512GB model costs the same as the 256GB variant — $1,299 –thanks to a free memory upgrade, plus you get an extra $80 in Samsung Credit.
• The 1TB variant costs $1,419 through a free memory upgrade and Samsung offers a $60 credit.
• Trade-in values for Galaxy S25 Ultra buyers are $900 instead of $750.

In addition, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is paired with much better bundle discounts on the Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch Ultra, and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro than the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

All in all, if you were thinking of saving some cash on a high-end phone by buying the 2024 Ultra model, now is the bad time to do it. It's actually cheaper and much more advantageous to buy the Galaxy S25 Ultra instead of its predecessor.

And aside from the lack of Air Actions, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is technically superior to the Galaxy S24 Ultra in many ways, from software to design and more powerful hardware.
