A tipster claims that the 16GB RAM variant of the Galaxy S25 Ultra will only be available in some Asian countries. Those countries include China, India, South Korea, and Vietnam. However, Samsung might launch 16GB RAM variants in other markets later.
In most markets, the 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants will come with 12GB RAM. It is almost confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy chip.
You can learn more about the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip in our video below.
The Galaxy S20 Ultra was the first Samsung phone to feature 16GB RAM. However, Samsung stopped offering 16GB RAM on its phones since the Galaxy S21 Ultra. With the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the company will offer 16GB RAM, but only in some countries.
It was earlier rumored that the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25+ will feature the Exynos 2500 chip in most countries. However, reports indicate that Samsung Foundry couldn't make enough Exynos 2500 chips due to low yield. So, Samsung MX had to go exclusively with the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S25 series on January 22. The phone could start shipping on February 3 and reach store shelves on February 9 in most countries.
