Prices of smartphone components have increased a lot over the past few years. And smartphone brands are trying not to pass on that to consumers, especially when people's spending power is at an all-time low in recent memory. However, their hands are tied, and Samsung's situation is similar.
According to a report from FNNews, Samsung could be forced to increase the price of the Galaxy S25. The company was reportedly in a dilemma about increasing Galaxy S25 pricing compared to last year. It is said to have tried to stick with the old pricing to increase sales but couldn't.
As all Galaxy S25 variants come with higher RAM and storage and the costlier Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, Samsung had to increase the prices of the phones slightly. A recent hike in the dollar value (to the South Korean won) also affected the decision.
Samsung has reportedly fixed the pricing of the Galaxy S25 series internally for the South Korean market. The pricing will be revealed on January 22 (US time zone) during the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event.

Samsung is reportedly trying to widen its lead over Apple by offering even better AI features with the Galaxy S25 series. Current Galaxy AI features in Galaxy phones and tablets work better than Apple Intelligence features in iPhones and iPads.
The South Korean firm will likely launch more affordable phones, including the Galaxy A36, Galaxy A56, and Galaxy Z Flip FE, later this year.
The Galaxy A36 and the Galaxy A56 could be launched in the first quarter of this year, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Flip FE, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy S25 FE could be launched in the second half of 2025.
