The possible release date for the fourth One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 series has now surfaced. Samsung has released three beta updates since kicking off the beta program, with the third arriving on January 5, exactly as a previous rumor had predicted.

According to the same source, tipster Tarun Vats, the next beta update could go live on January 19 or 20. Vats has a solid track record when it comes to Samsung’s beta rollout timelines, so Galaxy S25 users enrolled in the One UI 8.5 beta may want to mark these dates on their calendar.

A January 19–20 release would also align well with Samsung’s recent beta release pattern. The second and third beta updates were released exactly two weeks apart, and the second beta itself arrived two weeks after the first.

It also remains to be seen whether Samsung will allow owners of other Galaxy devices to test One UI 8.5 in beta. Samsung’s official announcement of the beta program for the Galaxy S25 series left things open to interpretation, but based on previous One UI beta programs, there’s a good chance the beta will expand to more devices before the official worldwide rollout begins.

As far as the stable One UI 8.5 update is concerned, Samsung is unlikely to roll it out before the Galaxy S26 series goes official. Current rumors suggest the Galaxy S26 lineup could be unveiled in late February and go on sale by March 11.

If that pans out, the stable One UI 8.5 update should begin rolling out to the Galaxy S25 series and other recent flagships sometime in March, with wider availability possibly extending into April for additional devices.
