Samsung started rolling out a new firmware update for the Galaxy S25 series in Korea last week. A similar firmware is now making its way onto Galaxy S25 units in Europe, bringing along the long-awaited March 2025 security patch.
The new update for the Galaxy S25 series in Europe carries firmware version S93xBXXS1AYC2 and weighs roughly 580MB. It isn't a feature patch but does improve the security level of the latest Samsung flagship.
Samsung first released the March 2025 security patch for other phones at the beginning of the month. The Galaxy S25 series lagged behind older models.
Now, as we get closer to the end of March, the S25 in Europe is catching up with its predecessors. It's finally ready to leave the February 2025 patch behind.
Since the launch of the Galaxy S25 earlier this year, Samsung has made two firmware updates available to the flagship series, including this most recent March patch.
Of course, the Galaxy S25 had the advantage of launching with Android 15 and One UI 7 out of the box. It's not missing out on any new Samsung experiences. Even if the March 2025 patch may have arrived later than expected, the Galaxy S25 delivers the best firmware experience.
As usual, you can download new updates on your Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, or Galaxy S25 Ultra by accessing the phone's Settings app, navigating to Software update, and tapping the Download and install button.
If you prefer manual updates over a Windows PC, you can download the latest firmware files from SamMobile.
