Earlier today, Samsung started rolling out an update to the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra that offered the February 2026 security patch, making these the first phones to get the latest security update. Now, the brand is offering it to the other two devices in the lineup, the Galaxy S25 Edge and the Galaxy S25 FE.
Samsung is currently rolling out the updates for the Galaxy S25 Edge and the Galaxy S25 FE that offer the February 2026 security patch in its home country, South Korea, and they carry firmware versions S937NKSS6BZB2 and S731NKSS5AZB2. It addresses 37 security issues present in the previous version of the operating system.
We expect Samsung to start offering the update in the next few days. To check for it and get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the brand releases the software update available outside Korea, we will make it available in our database for you to download and install using the company’s Odin tool.
The Galaxy S25 Edge and the Galaxy S25 FE will soon get a major software update that will offer One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). It brings a redesigned UI and new features. Currently, the brand is beta testing it and is said to debut the new software with the Galaxy S26 series and start rolling it out to eligible devices soon after.
