Owners of Samsung's Galaxy S24 featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in India are reporting 5G connectivity issue on the Jio network.

In January 2024, Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 series in India. The smallest device in the lineup, the Galaxy S24, was one of the very few compact smartphones with high-end hardware in the country. However, two of the biggest gripes people had with it were that it featured the Exynos 2400 chipset, instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in other regions, and its price.
Samsung listened to people, and a few days ago, launched the Galaxy S24 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale, offered it for half the price it had launched the phone with the Exynos 2400 SoC. With that, many people bought it. However, it looks like there is trouble in paradise as the phone seems to have a 5G connectivity issue.
On X, a well-known tipster, Abhishek Yadav, claims that people using the Galaxy S24 featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset on the Reliance Jio network are facing issues with 5G connectivity. On his post, a few people confirmed the issue, and others said that they weren’t facing any such problem.
Samsung should investigate the matter, and if it indeed finds an issue, and if it is related to software, the brand should roll out an update to fix it. However, if it is a hardware issue, the company should replace the device. If we get our hands on the phone, we will check for the problem and update you.
