Usually, at the start of a new month, Samsung details that month’s security patch for its smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches, and begins rolling it out well before the mid-point, often prioritising high-end devices. This time, however, things have been different.

With the company focused on launching the Galaxy S26 series and Galaxy Buds 4, alongside rolling out One UI 8.5, it released the March 2026 security update very late. As we near the end of the month, many premium devices are still waiting for it. The Galaxy S23 was among them, but not anymore.

Samsung has now started rolling out the March 2026 security patch to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. As usual, the update is first being released in the company’s home country, South Korea, and carries firmware version S91xNKSS7EZC2.

The latest security patch fixes 65 vulnerabilities found in the previous version of the OS, making the devices more secure. Samsung should expand the rollout to other regions in the coming days. To check for the update, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
