Samsung may be gearing up to release a beta version of One UI 7 for several flagships from 2024 and earlier. We saw evidence earlier this week suggesting that Samsung will add the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 to the One UI 7 beta program, and we can now add the Galaxy S23 series to the mix.

Beta Android 15/One UI 7 firmware were spotted on Samsung's servers for the Galaxy S23 Ultra by Tarun Vats. These are different from internal test builds that show up on Samsung's servers all the time and pretty much confirm that Samsung will let customers test the new software before rolling out the update worldwide.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra beta firmware was spotted for the Korea variant of the device, but we expect the beta program to be open to Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra owners in most, if not all, countries where it's available for the Galaxy S24 series phones. (The Galaxy S24 beta is available in China, India, Germany, Poland, Korea, the UK, and the US.)

It will be interesting to see how long beta testing for devices like the Galaxy S23 and Z Fold 6 will go on before the stable update is released. Rumors of the official One UI 7 rollout not starting before April could be accurate if Samsung is only just expanding beta access to devices other than the Galaxy S24 series.

For some Galaxy phones, the rollout may not start until May, which is sure to disappoint many diehard fans. Fingers crossed Samsung will find a way to speed things up.
