Samsung's 2023 flagships, the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra, may receive the stable One UI 7 update next week. Here's why.

Last week, Samsung revealed tentative timeframes for the release of the stable One UI 7 update on numerous Galaxy devices. Samsung scheduled the Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 for an April One UI 7 release, and the three phones have already received the upgrade as promised — even though Samsung pulled it from its servers a few days later.
Likewise, the company said that the Galaxy S23 series should receive the stable One UI 7 update in April. It didn't reveal an exact date, but Canadian carrier Telus appears to have spilled the beans and narrowed down Samsung's plans.
A revised Software Update Schedule published by Telus yesterday (via Aptivi) suggests that the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra will receive Android 15 on April 22.
And given that some regions might get the update faster than Canada, there is a chance that Galaxy S23 users in other markets may receive One UI 7 before that date.
Samsung first released the One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy S23 series in Korea on March 13. The company has had a little over a month of testing, and we're hoping that the stable One UI 7 release for the 2023 flagships will proceed without a hitch.
The Android 15-based One UI 7 upgrade is fairly substantial, but despite its scope, Samsung doesn't seem to have tested it as thoroughly as it did One UI 6.0 a couple of years ago. This may have been the root of the recent issues.
Other devices that Samsung aims to upgrade to One UI 7 before the end of April are the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5, the Galaxy S24 FE, and the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra.
Many more Galaxy phones and tablets are scheduled for a May and June One UI 7 rollout. Although, as always (and especially now, given the problematic One UI 7 release so far), these timeframes are tentative.
