Samsung is expanding the Galaxy S23 FE’s May 2025 security update to more countries. After releasing it in Korea, the brand has now made it live in the United States.
For now, the brand is offering the update for the carrier-locked version of the phone, which has the model number SM-S711U. It carries firmware version S711USQS6DYE2.
The May 2025 security patch fixes many security issues, which you can read about here. To get the update, on your Galaxy S23 FE, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. We have made the update available in our database as well. You can download it from here and install it manually using a Windows PC and Odin.
The next major software update for the Galaxy S23 FE is Android 16-based One UI 8.0, and it is coming soon. The brand released its beta version for the Galaxy S25 series earlier this week, and a few hours ago, the brand created a page for the Galaxy S23 series One UI 8 beta program on its Community forum for Germany.
