Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite picks up May 2023 security update

The Galaxy S10 Lite and the Galaxy S10 5G are the only Galaxy S10 models that continue to receive regular security updates, as both phones were launched later than the original Galaxy S10 flagship trio. And this week, the Galaxy S10 Lite is picking up a new update that bumps its security patch version up to May 1, 2023.

The May 2023 security update for the Galaxy S10 Lite is rolling out in Brazil at this time. It's unclear when the update will arrive in other markets, though it shouldn't take too long considering the May update comes so soon after the S10 Lite was updated with One UI 5.1. That said, availability in different countries will vary, and Samsung could skip the May security update for a newer one in some regions.

Nothing exciting in latest Galaxy S10 Lite update

The latest update for the Galaxy S10 Lite is pretty barebones – the only thing it brings to the phone is the May 2023 security patch. And you can also expect future updates to include only security enhancements. The Galaxy S10 Lite is no longer eligible for any major Android or One UI upgrades, and One UI 5.1 will likely be the last update that adds new features to the device.
