The Galaxy Ring can track your heart rate, stress, sleep, and snoring habits. These features were revealed by a report from Android Authority. As you can see in the images below, when paired with a Galaxy Ring, the Samsung Health app can track your health and display live results. The app also displays a new circular animation when tracking your stress.
The Galaxy Ring can also predict menstrual periods. If you use both the Galaxy Ring and the Galaxy Watch, Samsung Health will ask you which device to use to track those metrics. For snore detection, you need to wear the Galaxy Ring and have the paired Galaxy phone nearby and charging, as the phone's microphone records your audio when you're asleep. Once snores are detected, timestamped audio files are saved for review.
The story continues after our Galaxy Ring hands-on video below.
The Galaxy Ring can also measure your skin temperature, similar to the Galaxy Watch 6 series. However, it likely lacks GPS, so it can't be used to track your outdoor runs and locations accurately. There are two upsides to buying the Galaxy Ring over the Galaxy Watch: battery life and comfort. It can last up to a week on a single charge and be more comfortable than a Galaxy Watch while sleeping.
