Galaxy M33 gets the One UI 7 update

A week after releasing the One UI 7 update for the South Korean variant of the Galaxy M33, Samsung has released the update to the phone in several Asian, European, and Latin American countries. The update, based on Android 15, brings a new UI design, several new and improved features, smoother animations, and better privacy and security to the mid-range smartphone.

The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is now rolling out in several countries across Asia, Europe, and Latin America. The new software comes bearing firmware version M336BXXUCFYE5 and has a download size of around 3.5GB. It includes the May 2025 security patch instead of the latest June patch. The update is currently available in the countries listed below.

The update could soon be released in other countries. If you own a Galaxy M33 and live in the countries listed above, you can check for the new update by heading to Settings » Software update » Download and install, and then tap the Install now button once the update is finished downloading. The phone will restart after a few minutes, and you can then starting using One UI 7.0.

You can also choose to download the new and appropriate firmware file for your phone from SamMobile's firmware database and flash it manually. You would also need to have access to a computer running Windows OS and having the Odin tool. Make sure to back up all your important data and files at a secure location before initiating the manual firmware flashing process.

The Galaxy M33 was launched with Android 12 pre-installed in early 2022. The mid-range device received the Android 13 update later that year and the Android 14 update in late 2023. It is now getting its third major Android OS update, and its final major Android OS (Android 16) update will be released before the end of this year.
