Galaxy M17e 5G with Gemini is finally ready to go on sale tomorrow

The Galaxy M17e 5G launch in India has been oddly unpredictable. Amazon initially teased March 17 as the release date, but we are now two days past that window and the phone is still not available for purchase. That wait, however, is about to end.

Samsung has now confirmed that the Galaxy M17e 5G will go on sale in India tomorrow, March 20. Amazon’s landing page has also been updated to reflect the same date, with sales kicking off at 12 PM.

Interestingly, despite Amazon leading the early promotion, the phone will not be exclusive to the platform.

Early signals suggested the Galaxy M17e 5G might be sold only through Amazon, but Samsung has clarified otherwise. According to the company’s latest press release, the device will be available starting March 20 via:

The Galaxy M17e 5G starts at INR 13,999 ($150). The base model includes 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the 6GB RAM variant costs an additional INR 2,000 ($21).

For a device in this price range, Samsung is making a strong software commitment. The Galaxy M17e 5G will receive six OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

The phone runs Android 16 and also includes Google Gemini and Circle to Search, adding a layer of AI functionality. Budget buyers don't usually get AI integration from other brands.
