Samsung released a new software update for the Galaxy Fit 3 in South Korea earlier this year, and that update is now rolling out internationally. As of now, it appears to have been released in several regions globally, including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America, and North America.
The new update for the Galaxy Fit 3 comes with firmware version R390XXU0AZA3 and has a download size of 17.42MB. The official changelog mentions that it could improve device performance, but Samsung did not clarify which aspects of performance are improved after installing the update. It also mentions improvements to device reliability and stability.
If you have a Galaxy Fit 3, you can check for the update by opening the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected phone and navigating to Band settings > Band software update, then tapping Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap Install now. Your Galaxy Fit 3 needs to have at least 50% battery charge to initiate the update process.
Since the launch of the Galaxy Fit 3 in 2024, Samsung has released a couple of software updates for the wearable each year. However, it has introduced new features for the Fit 3 only once so far. In late 2024, the device received a new Tile, an option to display music lists, and a low battery vibration alert.
