The day that Galaxy F56 and Galaxy F54 users have been waiting for a long time is finally here. Samsung has released the One UI 8.0 (Android 16) to the two devices, upgrading them with a new user interface and new features.
Samsung is currently offering One UI 8 to the two phones in India. The update for the Galaxy F56 carries firmware version E566BXXU3BYI6, and that for the Galaxy F54 carries firmware version E546BXXU9EYI4 (via Samsung Community).
Along with One UI 8, the update also brings the September 2025 security patch. It fixes many security issues. You can check out the complete list of changes that One UI 8 offers by clicking here or you can watch them in action in our video below. To update your Galaxy F56 or Galaxy F54 to One UI 8, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Samsung is also working on One UI 8.5. It is based on Android 16, the same version of the OS that One UI 8 is based on. Despite that, it offers many visual changes and new features. Fortunately, the Galaxy F56 and the Galaxy F54 are eligible to get it. Samsung is said to introduce it in February 2026 with the launch of the Galaxy S26 series, and start rolling it out to eligible devices soon after.
