At CES 2026, Samsung launched the brand’s new lineup of flagship laptops featuring Windows and x86 processors, the Galaxy Book 6 series. It offers three models: Galaxy Book 6, Galaxy Book 6 Pro, and Galaxy Book 6 Ultra. These models bring massive hardware improvements over their predecessors, the Galaxy Book 5, Galaxy Book 5 Pro, and Galaxy Book 5 Ultra.
While people are talking about the upgrades they bring in terms of design, keyboard and trackpad layout, processing hardware, cooling technology, and speakers, they bring another major improvement that most don’t seem to be focusing on: New protection for the display that is stronger, more resistant to scratches, and cuts down reflections even more.
The Galaxy Book 6 Pro and the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra feature the Corning Gorilla Glass with DXC. According to the company, it offers enhanced “durability with improved drop and scratch resistance” and cuts down “front-surface reflection by up to 75% compared to standard glass.” The tech giant adds, “This advanced glass composite ensures improved viewing clarity even in bright environments while maintaining the renowned resilience of Gorilla Glass for long-lasting performance.”
With the Corniong Gorilla Glass DXC, the Galaxy Book 6 Pro's and Galaxy Book 6 Ultra's displays will be more resistant to scratches when a sharp object comes into contact or if pressed hard against the keyboard, more resistant to cracking when you drop them accidentally, and these screens will also look brighter against sources of light, putting less strain on your eyes in such conditions.
