One of the more unexpected but rumored upgrades Samsung's new Galaxy A57 brings is more storage — a lot of it. The A57 has become the first Galaxy A series phone to offer a 512GB storage option.
That’s a big deal, especially now that microSD expansion is gone from Samsung’s mid-range lineup. A 512GB storage option for the Galaxy A57 is most welcome.
On the other hand, memory isn't cheap, especially nowadays. And the fact that the 512GB storage option is paired exclusively with the highest amount of RAM, 12GB, doesn't help the price.
The Galaxy A57 starts at €529, assuming you choose the version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, you'll pay an additional €240, for a total of €769.
In summary, Samsung offers the Galaxy A57 with four memory options:
Whether all four configurations will be available globally is unclear. Usually, some markets get more memory options than others. It's entirely possible that the top-tier 12GB+512GB model might not reach every region, but time will tell.
The Galaxy A57 goes on sale in select markets starting April 10, with a wider rollout to follow.. Availability will expand gradually. Color options include Awesome Navy, Awesome Gray, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac.
