Nearly two weeks after One UI 7 went live for the Galaxy A55 in Korea, where the phone is sold as the Galaxy Quantum 5, Samsung has kicked off the update's global rollout. That's right, your long wait for One UI 7 (Android 15) on the Galaxy A55 is finally coming to an end.
Starting today, the Galaxy A55 One UI 7 update is rolling out in Europe. Over the next few days, we should see it hitting the air in other regions, and Samsung will hopefully make it available for every Galaxy A55 owner around the world before the end of the month.
European Galaxy A55 owners can identify the update by the build number A556BXXU7BYDB. It's almost 3GB in size, and you can download it over the air from the phone's Settings » Software update menu. The Galaxy A55 was Samsung's first phone to support seamless updates, so One UI 7 will install in the background and you will be able to start using it after a simple restart.
With this update, the Galaxy A55's software experience will more closely match that of the Galaxy A56, which launched running One UI 7 out of the box. From the gorgeous Now Bar to more optimized UI animations, there's a lot to love in One UI 7. Just don't expect any Galaxy AI features. Those still remain exclusive to Samsung's flagship devices.
