Earlier this month, Samsung started rolling out the January 2026 security patch to Galaxy smartphones. The brand first offered it to the Galaxy S25 series as a part of the One UI 8.5 Beta 3 update, and now, the company has released it for the Galaxy A55 and the Galaxy A34.
The update that brings the January 2026 security patch to the Galaxy A55 carries firmware version A556SKSS6CYL2, and that for the Galaxy A34 carries firmware version A346NKSSCEYL2 (via Samsung Community). The latest security patch fixes a total of 55 security issues.
At the moment, Samsung seems to be offering the update in its home country, South Korea. We expect the brand to release it in other regions in the next few days.
Speaking of updates for the Galaxy A55 and the Galaxy A34, both devices are eligible to get One UI 8.5. You can check out the upgrades it offers in our video below.
