The Galaxy A54 was the first mid-range phone to get One UI 6.1, and Samsung is making up for lost time by quickly expanding the availability of the update around the world.
The Galaxy A54 One UI 6.1 update was released in the USA, Europe, Latin America, and several countries in Asia within a span of a week, and it is now available in many Middle Eastern countries. The update comes with the build number A546EXXU7CXDD and includes the April 2024 security patch.
As you may already be aware, the Galaxy A54 doesn't get any Galaxy AI features with One UI 6.1. It also misses out on “AI recommendations” for pictures, which is not part of the Galaxy AI experience, despite what Samsung claims in the update's changelog.
You will also find support for wallpapers in Always On Display missing once you have installed One UI 6.1, as that feature is reserved for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. But the rest of the non-AI changes and improvements in One UI 6.1 are part of the package, and you can read the full list of changes here.
To download One UI 6.1, open the Settings app on your Galaxy A54, select Software update, and tap Download and install. These updates are rolled out in phases, so be sure to check again later if the update doesn't show up on the first attempt. You can also turn to our firmware archive to download the latest firmware and install it on your phone using a Windows PC.
