Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy A53. No, it isn't the One UI 6.1 update you might have hoped for, but it also means that you need to wait for even fewer updates to get One UI 6.1.

Galaxy A53 gets March 2024 security update

The new software update for the Galaxy A53 comes with firmware version A536EXXS8DXB5. It is available in various Latin American countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad And Tobago, and Uruguay.

The update brings the March 2024 security patch that fixes over 44 security flaws discovered in the previous software version. It doesn't bring any new features or performance enhancements. The One UI 6.1 update will bring new software features, and you can check those features in our video below.

To install this update, you need to open the Settings app on your phone, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
