Samsung has announced a new mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A37. It largely retains the design of its predecessor while focusing on improved camera quality and enhanced durability. The phone is powered by the Exynos 1480 processor and features a large 120Hz OLED display.
It comes pre-installed with One UI 8.5 and introduces some new AI features that were previously limited to Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series phones and tablets.
The Galaxy A37 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It can reach up to 1,200 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM) and up to 1,900 nits during HDR content playback. It also includes an in-display fingerprint reader and stereo speakers.

On the front, the phone has a 12MP camera with Super HDR and support for 4K 30fps video recording. On the rear, it features an upgraded 50MP primary camera with OIS, 1µm pixels, and Super HDR. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro camera.
Samsung claims improved camera performance, especially in low-light conditions, thanks to an enhanced ISP and updated algorithms.
The device is powered by the Exynos 1480 processor, built on Samsung Foundry’s 4nm process. It includes four Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.75GHz, four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2GHz, and the Xclipse 530 GPU. This represents a modest upgrade over the Galaxy A36’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor.
The Galaxy A37 uses LPDDR5X RAM and UFS storage and is available in the following configurations:

Durability has been improved with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, up from the IP67 rating on the Galaxy A36. The phone features a plastic frame, while both the front and back are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ that debuted in 2024. It measures 7.4mm in thickness and weighs 194g.
