After rolling out the stable One UI 8.0 (Android 16) update for the Galaxy A35 in South Korea and many countries globally, Samsung has now released it in one of the brand’s biggest markets, India.
The update is live for people enrolled in the beta program. It is 270.01MB in size and carries firmware version A356EXXU5CYI8 (via Tarun Vats). You can check it out in the screenshot below.
We expect Samsung to release the update to non-beta users in the next few days. To check if the brand has made the update available for your device as well as to download and install it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. You can check out all the upgrades that One UI 8 brings in our video below.
The Galaxy A35 is also eligible to get Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8.5. Even though it is based on the same Android 16 OS that One UI 8 is based on, it brings many changes. While these changes are small, they make a big impact overall. Samsung may debut it with the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026.
