The One UI 8 firmware for a handful of eligible devices has been spotted on Samsung's servers recently, confirming that they're in development and would be released not too long after the stable version is released.
It's now time for the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 to join the party. One UI 8 firmware for both of these devices has been spotted on the brand's servers.
Firmware version A336BXXUDGYG1 and A536BXXUGGYG1 for the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 respectively is now listed on Samsung's servers. This update will bring One UI 8 as well as Android 16, the latest iteration of Google's mobile platform.
The firmware is currently being put through the wringer as Samsung completes the testing phase to ensure that the software is ready for release. It wouldn't want a repeat of the botched One UI 7 roll out, so one would hope that the company would take the time it needs to ensure the roll out goes as smoothly as possible.
Samsung hasn't confirmed when it intends to release One UI 8. There was an expectation it would provide more information about the matter at the Unpacked event last week. Even though it released the first One UI 8-powered phones these, the new foldables, it didn't share a release timeline for its next major update.
