Samsung is gearing up to launch a new budget phone for 2025, the Galaxy A17, and we now know everything this low-cost device has in store for future buyers. A couple of noteworthy upgrades include a better screen and main camera.
A listing of the Galaxy A17 has popped up on the e-shop of French retailer Boulanger. It contains new renders and a full list of specifications. Here's what you can expect.
First things first, the first leaked renders that emerged late last month were accurate. This retailer's entry confirms the Galaxy A17's design, including features such as the Infinity-U display cutout, the flat frame, and the updated camera housing.
As for other hardware specs, the source revealed and reconfirmed the following:
The listing also confirms that Samsung will release the Galaxy A17 5G in three color options: Black, Blue, and Gray.
All in all, the Galaxy A17 5G doesn't seem all that different from the Galaxy A16, but the 120Hz display and OIS-enabled primary cameras are notable upgrades.
The Galaxy A17 5G will also be slightly thinner than its predecessor, featuring a 7.5mm profile — down from 7.9mm. Samsung appears to be striving to create thinner phones across all price ranges, and the Galaxy A17 is no exception.
As for pricing, the retailer lists the 128GB+4GB Galaxy A17 5G for £229. However, this could be a tentative price. Samsung may sell the Galaxy A17 cheaper once the phone is official.
