The first One UI 8.5 beta was released earlier this week, finally ending the anticipation for the company's next major firmware update. Samsung has started rolling it out to eligible devices.

The new firmware brings many changes, including updates to Samsung apps, and we've put together a video highlighting all of the changes.

Samsung Internet is one of the apps that has been refreshed with this update. Minor design tweaks have been made to the address bar and browser tabs at the top. The menu's appearance has been changed as well, and there's a new tab organization view.

The company has also made changes to Samsung Notes. The look and functionality have both been improved, with a particular focus on streamlining how the notes are displayed. It doesn't feel as cluttered as before.

A few other apps have received minor to moderate updates. They include the Calendar, Voice Recorder, Reminder, and Gallery. It's pertinent to note that this is the position so far with the first beta. It's likely that we may see further improvements or functionality addition in the coming beta versions before One UI 8.5 is released in the coming year.
