Samsung surprised everyone by releasing the One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 4 series, but the rollout has been very slow and inconsistent. Some variants of the smartwatch received the update a couple of weeks ago, while others haven't received it yet. And the update hasn't been without critical bugs.

While the One UI 8 Watch update brought a new UI design and several new features, some users of older Galaxy Watch models have complained of several critical bugs. Samsung now seems to have revealed that it will fix those bugs with a future update. When a South Korean Galaxy Watch user reached out to Samsung regarding those bugs, the company's support staff claimed that Samsung would release a bug-fixing update on 12 January.

The update could be released first in South Korea, following convention, and then in other countries. Some Galaxy Watch 4 Classic users claim that some sensors have stopped working after installing the One UI 8 Watch update. Many users claim that their Galaxy Watch 4 series smartwatch started lagging and consuming battery faster than earlier.

Due to these issues, Samsung seems to have halted the rollout of the One UI 8 Watch update for some Galaxy Watch 4 series devices. Some Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 6 series users have also claimed that the One UI 8 Watch update has caused UI lag and high battery drain.

Hopefully, Samsung will release an update soon to fix those bugs.
