Samsung's first tri-folding phone is expected to go official later this month. It was widely expected that the device would be launched in only a couple of markets, like China and South Korea. However, the company is planning to launch it in more countries than expected.
We have received information that the Galaxy Z TriFold (tentative name) will be launched outside China and South Korea. It will be launched in the UAE, and could also make its way to other countries, including the USA. This might mean that Samsung is confident in the phone's capabilities and wants to showcase it to more consumers.
The Galaxy Z TriFold could have a 10-inch OLED screen that folds into three parts. Patents recently revealed that the device could be powered by a three-battery setup. It is expected to feature a triple-camera setup, including a 200MP primary camera, an ultrawide camera, and a telephoto camera. It could offer up to 100x digital zoom, similar to Galaxy S Ultra phones.
The phone will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy processor, featuring up to 16GB RAM and at least 256GB storage. It may also include a 6.5-inch cover display, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging capabilities. Out of the box, it will run Android 16-based One UI 8 software and will receive at least seven major Android OS updates.
