Samsung teased the Privacy Display feature of the Galaxy S26 Ultra last week. It has been built into the display itself to reduce viewing angles so that nosey people can't steal a glance at what you're doing on your phone.
We now have the first real world demonstration of this feature, courtesy of the Dubai-based influencer who bought a Galaxy S26 Ultra even before it has been unveiled.
A YouTuber and influencer based in Dubai started posting Galaxy S26 Ultra content yesterday after buying it from a retail shop in the city. People naturally had a lot of questions about the various new features that are coming with this device.
There was a lot of curiosity about the Privacy Display. Samsung's teasers had explained the feature as blocking people around you from peeking over your shoulder or from the side to see what's you're doing on the phone.
The video posted by Sahil Karoul shows the Privacy Display toggle in the settings menu. He then proceeds to record the phone from various angles and even in the video you can see how well the feature works. You can barely make out what's on the screen from an angle.
A lot of people already used third-party privacy screen protectors on their device to achieve a similar result. Samsung offering it as part of the display tech itself is a great step forward. Do keep in mind, though, that the Privacy Display will likely only be available on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, not the S26 and S26+.
