Samsung has released an update for the Galaxy Watch 6. It brings the two changes. First, the brand says, “Terminal operation related stabilisation code has been applied.” Second, it brings the February 2026 security patch.
While there’s no official information about what the first change does, we assume that it is related to performance improvement. As for the second one, it fixes 37 security issues, making the watch more secure than before.
At the moment, Samsung is rolling out the update to the non-cellular variant of the Galaxy Watch 6 (for the 40mm as well as the 44mm version) in its home country, South Korea. We expect the brand to expand it to other variants of the smartwatch and in other regions in the next few days.
To check for and get the latest update, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone and go to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install. It is worth pointing out that the brand has already released the security update for the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch 8.
