While many Galaxy fans are focused on the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung has released a new update for its Camera Assistant app. With this update, the camera-related Good Lock module is now compatible with One UI 8.5 and the Galaxy S26 series.
The latest Camera Assistant update (4.69MB) carries version 4.5.00.19 and was released on the Galaxy Store today. However, it appears to be available only for devices running One UI 8.5, which is currently limited to the Galaxy S25 series in beta. If you own a Galaxy S25 series device and are enrolled in the One UI 8.5 Beta Program, you can download the update now.
We did not notice any new features in this update for the Galaxy S25 series or older devices. However, it may enable new capabilities for the Galaxy S26 series, such as the rumored 24MP mode in the stock Camera app. In the new mode, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to capture images with greater detail and clarity.
Other Good Lock modules and core One UI apps may receive similar updates in the coming days to ensure compatibility with the Galaxy S26 series.
