Samsung is rolling out an update to the Samsung TV Plus app for Android (Galaxy smartphones and tablets). Carrying version 1.0.26.8, it brings a major design change that makes it go hand in hand with the design language of One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2).
In the previous version of Samsung TV Plus, there was a bar at the bottom with Home and Live TV tabs, and a bar at the top with search and menu icons. In the new version of the app, there is a bar at the bottom that floats over the content that the app is showing.

The new bar also accommodates the search and menu icons that were previously present at the top. The new design is not only more streamlined, easier to use, and modern-looking, but also in line with the design language of One UI 8.5, as we mentioned before.
Tapping on the menu icon brings a pop-up showing four options: Continue watching, Watch list, Notices, and Settings, the same set of options that were present in the menu section at the top-right corner of the screen in the previous version of the app.
