Some of the best phones that you can trade-in to save a lot of money on the new flagship include the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and even older flagships like the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Do keep in mind that these elevated trade-in rates are only available during the pre-order period.
You'll get $900 knocked off your total for the Galaxy S25 Ultra if you're exchanging a Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Fold 5, or a Galaxy S24 Ultra. You can also get $750 for the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Samsung offers $700 each for the Galaxy S24+ and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. Devices like the Galaxy S24, S22 Ultra, Note 20 Ultra, S23+, and Z Flip 5 all get $600. For devices as old as the Galaxy S21 Ultra you can still get $500 from Samsung. There are countless other devices that can fetch anywhere from $450 to $150.
How this works is that you select your desired storage variant and color of the phone when you pre-order the Galaxy S25 Ultra from Samsung. All customers currently get a free storage upgrade so even if you opt for the $1,299 256GB variant, you'll get 512GB storage for the same price.
Use the trade-in dropdown to select your Samsung device. Let's say you're trading in a Galaxy S24 Ultra. Samsung instantly knocks off $900 from the final price, so your total cost to buy the latest flagship phone from Samsung is only $399 before taxes. Delivery dates haven't slipped much. If you order today you can get the phone by February 10.
The trade-in values will likely drop once the pre-order period ends in about two days. So it's best to trade-in any of your old devices now to maximize the value you can get for them.
