Samsung has started rolling out a new Galaxy S26 firmware update out of the blue. It debuted on the Korean Galaxy S26, and surprisingly enough, it includes the April 2026 security patch.
Galaxy S26 users in Korea can identify the firmware by the last four characters in the model number: AZCL. Judging by a user screenshot shared on X, the package weighs 547 MB.
Samsung hasn't published its April 2026 security patch details yet, which is what makes this release a little surprising. But without the full changelog, nobody knows exactly how the new update enhances the Galaxy S26. Either way, it seems to be just a standard security patch.
Availability appears to be limited to Korea for the time being, but as usual, the rollout will expand and gradually reach the Galaxy S26 in other regions.
A few days ago, Samsung's new flagship also received another update that actually enhanced the user experience. It introduced AirDrop compatibility.
