Apple is getting ready to take the XR (mixed reality) headset market by storm with its Vision Pro, and with only a few days left before the product officially launches on store shelves, Apple has released a new ad.

Titled “Hello Apple Vision Pro,” the latest ad on YouTube has amassed half a million views in half a day. The ad briefly demonstrates some of the headset's best features and use cases.

Apple highlights that the Vision Pro has eye-tracking technology and hand-tracking with no need for traditional controllers, as well as the fact that the Vision Pro projects the wearer's eyes onto an external screen.

This impressive device costs an impressive amount of money

The Apple Vision Pro will be available starting February 2, but prospective customers can already pre-order the headset from Apple for $3,499. That's for the 256GB variant. The 512GB and 1TB models cost $3,699 and $3,899, respectively.

Optional accessories include ZEISS Optical Inserts – Readers, for $99, and ZEISS Optical Inserts – Prescription, for $149.

Samsung will eventually compete with the Apple Vision Pro and might release its own XR headset this year. The Korean tech giant teased its work on a new XR headset at both major Galaxy Unpacked events in 2023 but didn't mention anything on the matter at Unpacked 2024.
