We're in the era of AI and major players in the industry are utilizing every resource at their disposal to ensure they come out on top. Samsung has the potential to deliver incredible value with AI technologies, both for its organization and the world.
That's why the company has set up a team some of the best resources that it has to work on the next generation of AI advancements, including humanoid robots and digital twin applications.
The company has formed a new unit within its DX division, which includes the mobile and consumer electronics business, called InnoX Lab. The people working at this unit will lead Samsung's response to the rapidly advancing technological landscape aligned with the company's strategic business interests across its various business units.
Operations that InnoX Lab have begun this week, with the team working on projects related to technologies for humanoid robots, digital twin applications, and AI technologies for improving manufacturing automation.
The team will work on a project-based flexible model with top talent being pulled in from across organizations under the Samsung umbrella to beef up the capabilities for each project. Samsung intends to utilize this dynamic, almost startup-like structure to leverage the core competencies of its many divisions to supercharge cross-functional collaboration.
This is an expansion of Samsung's wide-ranging AI for All Strategy which also saw a new dedicated AI productivity innovation group being set up within the DX division earlier this year in May.
