Samsung to supply its cloud printing services to Korea Post

Samsung is trying to expand its enterprise printing business globally as well as in its home country. Now, it has announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea Post, South Korea's postal service, to offer its cloud printing service. With the start of this service, Korea Post customers can use their mobile devices to print their mail and check delivery status.

The company's cloud printing solution supports Android and iOS, so users can download the Samsung Cloud Print app on their personal devices to use the service. Prior to this, only desktop users with Windows operating system could use Korea Post's service. Users can also pay using the app. Samsung is also trying to woo more clients with KNOX mobile security solution.

The South Korean electronics giant expects mobile printing to grow to account for 20 percent of its home country's printing market as people move towards mobile devices. The company is gearing to catch up with old powerhouses in the printing market like HP, Canon, and Sharp. Samsung acquired Brazilian printing firm Simpress in January 2015 as a part of its expansion abroad.
