Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update released for Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge in India

After releasing Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge in the US, UK, and a host of other countries, Samsung has released the update in India. The new updates for the Galaxy S6 (SM-G920I) Galaxy S6 edge (SM-G925I) with the firmware numbers G920IDVU2COF8 and G925IDVU2COF8 are now available for download from our firmware section.

Apart from the obvious bump in the Android version, this update brings an option to alphabetically sort apps in the app drawer, exposure control and new modes in the camera app, and multi user support. There is also an option to remove S Finder and Quick Connect from the notifications drawer, and an option to enable or disable the wallpaper motion effect.

You can either wait for the update to hit your device, or you can download the firmware files from our firmware section and flash them manually.
